100 Job Applications - No Interviews
“I've applied for more than 100 jobs and haven't received a single interview.”
I've heard variations of this sentence countless times.
And here's what I want job seekers to understand:
Not getting interviews doesn't automatically mean you're not qualified.
Sometimes the problem is:
→ Your CV isn't aligned to the roles you're applying for.
→ Your experience is buried under generic wording.
→ Your achievements aren't visible.
→ Your CV isn't using the language recruiters are searching for.
→ You're applying for roles that don't match the way your experience is positioned.
→ Your LinkedIn profile tells a completely different story.
And sometimes…
You're simply competing against a very large applicant pool.
So before you send application #101 with exactly the same CV…
Stop.
Look at the document.
Ask yourself:
“If I were the recruiter, would I immediately understand why I should interview this person?”
If the answer is no…
That's where I'd start.
