Applicant Tracking Systems

More familiar as ATS, what do we know about it? Here's a little insight!

An applicant tracking system (ATS) is a software application that enables the electronic handling of recruitment and hiring needs. This system helps companies organize candidates for hiring and recruitment purposes. These systems allow businesses to collect information, organize prospects based on experience and skill set, and filter applicants.

So, how do you get passed it?

1. Focus on your skills not your career goals. Instead of focusing on how you want to apply your skills and career goals, highlight how you can add value to the company.

2. Use keywords which are specifically applicable to the job you want to apply for, this way your CV will automatically qualify and stand out!

3. Check your formatting.

4. Use spell-check. This might seem like an unnecessary hurdle in the road for a job seeker, but if your CV is on par en meets the requirements you will shine like a diamond to that recruiter or potential employer!
